This program is about double retrieval, which means having the student give the therapist two items. The purpose of the program is to let students learn how to listen to two pieces of information, sequence two parts of language at the same time and remember all information that they’ve heard.
After some vital background information about the program in general, phase 1 begins with imitating body actions and counting as prompts to help the student get the correct answer.
In Phase 2, the instruction is changed to actions with an object, and then the object is placed in the basket.
In Phase 3, the action is now to put the item in the basket.
In Phase 4, after a few trials, the model is successfully faded.
