Children with ASD take longer than others to learn social skills. It’s often one of the areas that concerns parents and teachers the most.
Usually parents and teachers would target social skills such as sharing, or turn taking first.
At AP, we believe that developing social interest towards peers is fundamental, therefore we spend a lot of time in developing our students’ social interest towards other peers.
Today, Toby will share with us the importance of building social interests and how we increase Cheuk Cheuk’s social interest by having simple and fun play dates, and the criteria of a good play mate.
